Lectora 2008 makes eLearning authoring easier
Trivantis Corporation, the global provider of eLearning authoring and publishing tools, has announced the rollout of its new Lectora 2008 line of software, with an additional 50 features to meet the needs of both novice and experienced eLearning content developers.
Its solutions are designed to diminish the technical barriers traditionally associated with e-content across a variety of digital mediums, including the Internet, intranet, CD-ROM, and wireless. Some of the new features include flash conversion, help agents, a media library, a template gallery, customisable course completion certificates, and content protection to prevent students from plagiarising the course content.
Simon Birt, regional manager of southern EMEA for Trivantis, said: “The past year has seen increasing momentum in European markets. Trivantis stays in close touch with its European customers through its network of resellers. Many of our existing users are now creating more sophisticated eLearning content and we have stayed ahead of their needs with new top end capabilities, as well as bringing in new help tools for less experienced users.”
Andrew Nash, vice president of international markets, commented: “Our international user community is growing rapidly as Lectora attracts new customers in Europe and its use grows within multinational organisations. Lectora is an authoring tool users can grow with as their needs evolve, whether this is for a local eLearning program or a cross-border implementation.”
The Lectora family of products includes Lectora Publisher and Lectora Professional Publishing Suite. Local language versions in French, German, Spanish and Swedish have already helped it to become widely adopted in over 50 countries around the world, spanning the banking, automotive, consumer goods, insurance, manufacturing, media, pharmaceuticals, retail, and telecommunications industries.
